Jake and Russ have decided to try and get into the neighbourhood haunted house.  Jake finds a secret passageway that leads on a new adventure for the kids.  Russ wants to bring his new girl friend along, who is seriously cramping Jake's time with his best friend.  And drippy Jenny Meyers has tagged along with her cousin, making googly eyes at Jake.  Good grief.

10 year old May learns her parents and little sister are not dead, but have been kidnapped by a goblin.  Now she has to help Aunt Pru get them back.  The map has switched allegiance and will no longer work for her Aunt, and May is to frightened to touch it.  Will the family ever be reunited and make it back to Ottawa?
